It is amazing that Jobster has so many incredibly talented people and still never did anything worth a damn due to everyones incredibly large ego.

The list was only those who had founded another venture.

The list of those that have gone on to play significant roles in new ventures would easily make this list 2-3x.

The pure concentration of talent inside the walls of Jobster was staggering to me even at the time.

The tag line that went with that old logo (that's Charles pictured, BTW) says it all: "great people know great people". Jobster's biggest recruiting successes will likely prove to be its own employees. I don't know that I've ever worked with smarter or more passionate folks.

I am so not surprised at the length of this (growing) list. The massive amount of creative and smart ideas generated by everyone I used to work with was a constant source of inspiration. I can't wait to see what else what will come from ex-Jobsters over the next few years.

Great stuff!

Say what you will about Jobster, but senior management there did an outstanding job of hiring a pretty amazing crowd of people with a pretty intense entrepreneurial spirit.

Thanks for giving props to the Jobster Alumni, John! As for the drink of choice at Elliott (and before that, 1st), admittedly there was some percentage of kool-aid.

That said, every smart, socially networked person who got hired at Jobster immediately tried to recruit every other smart, socially networked person they knew, and it just snowballed. There was this brilliant combination of intelligence, creativity and freedom that made us all feel kind of high, and anything seemed possible.

Anyway. It's awesome how so many of us have gone on to bigger and better things, and have stayed connected over the last couple of years. Kudos to all!

Mergelab & Identity.Net both had Joster-er's involved in the founding/early on... Although I think Alan Steele left Identity already.
